Now let’s be right, REBOOT will work its magic on most men. As the Phd scientist who formulated it for us says, “if you don’t feel a difference within 10 days, then you’re beyond help!” [ Yes, this is a little ‘tongue in cheek’ but there is truth in what she said. After 10 days of taking 2 capsules morning and evening, the body will be noticing the effects. ] Feedback thus far seems to point to 3 – 7 days and then it really kicks in!
But I am never satisfied, and always want to be the best I can be, so any improvement I can make, to create even more positive maleness for myself, then I will. It’s almost becoming an obsession, to take back the maleness for guys, and to inform the seekers about just what the man today faces, in terms of the hidden attack on our masculinity.
Now on month 3 of my reboot-ing, there are a number of things I’ve found to be helpful for me, enhancing the effects of REBOOT. Small changes to daily life that have a huge impact on free testosterone profile, and masculinity.
1. Drop the soy latte.
All soy will kill off your testosterone. If you drink coffee, make sure its organic, and without dairy (if possible – and if not, organic dairy please to avoid the hormone disruption from pesticides and artificial growth hormones from the animals.
2. Organic foods wherever possible.
The pesticide residues in “normal” food wreck havoc on the male hormones. If you cannot find organic fruit and veggies, washing your food when you bring it home from the grocery store in apple cider vinegar and water for 15 minutes can lessen the effects, but organic is best.
3. Eat a serve of cruciferate veggies, and a serve of button mushrooms each day.
These help clear out the xeno (artificial and extremely harmeful )estrogens, as well as managing the awful testosterone stealer, Aromatase in the body.
4. Hydrate with fresh filtered water.
Remove the xenoestrogens from the town water supply please, along with all the pharmaceuticals that remain in the water even post municipal processing. And please please please invest in a high quality stainless steel or glass water bottle. Throw out any plastic food / water containers, as these will fill your body full of xenoestrogens in a flash.
Do something each day for 30 minutes, that relaxes you. Meditate, walk, swim, sex, whatever it is, as we need to reduce stress levels, as the cortisol produced by stress is killing the testosterone in your body, and increasing the bad visceral fat build up around the mid section of your body.
Whatever your preferred movement is, do it! Do it at least 3 times a week, as moving the body helps with all the master male hormones (Growth Hormone, Testosterone, Insulin sensitivity), as well as helping to burn off any excess visceral body fat.
7. Give intermittent fasting a try.
The 16 – 8 (rest 16 hours, eat within an 8 hour window) method is a great way to reset the hormones in the body, and allow the insulin receptors within your cells to get a break. Long term fasts (72 hours) are also an amazing way to reset the body, and improve the insulin profile within the body, as well as shrinking the visceral body fat sections (over time).
8. Feed your gut.
As in, maximise your gut health. A healthy gut has been shown to be a core of good health, and with the change in hormonal profile, it’s helpful to make sure you eliminate easily all the bad hormones your body is getting rid of (especially the excess xenoestrogen). My favourite way, each day, is to take in a serve of fresh homemade sauerkraut, or some pickles, kombucha, and the like. And best of all, these are easy and fun to make at home, so it saves the $$$ as well as your health.
9. Throw out any toxic personal health care products.
This is a huge hidden source of hormonal endocrine disruption. Deodorant, cologne, fragrance, shaving foam, soap, shampoos and the list goes on. Cleaning products for the home, washing powder. It’s all pretty much designed to f*ck up your male hormones! Choose products from shops like www.benaturallyyou.com as they take all the guess work out for you.
10. Avoid excessive consumption of alcohol.
Especially beer, as it’s a huge estrogen generator, thanks to the hops it contains. Organic wine is ok, in moderation, and spirits (again in moderation.) in fact, good news, a shot of organic vodka post-workout seems to increase testosterone.
These are just some of the changes I am making to really get the best from my REBOOT.
What’s working for you?
