WHAT IS THE ONE THING THAT YOU DO, THAT HELPS YOU BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE?
Periodically throughout my day I check in with myself and evaluate how I am feeling and what I am currently doing. I then fill in the blank; I feel ___. This is what ____ feels like.
Yesterday I was in a workout class and I was beyond over it and ready to throw in the towel.
I repeated to myself: “I feel like – I AM EXHAUSTED AND I CAN’T GO ANY FURTHER”
I then said, “This is what HARD WORK feels like.”
Doing this brings me back to reality and my task / purpose at hand. Sometimes it’s easy to get lost and lose focus. It is also a reminder for me that it is okay to FEEL and to accept the moment that I’m in. Checking in with myself allows me to be the best person that I can be day in and day out.
I am also a big on positive affirmations. Lately mine has been “I am enough.”
