WHAT IS THE ONE THING THAT YOU DO, THAT HELPS YOU BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE?
I take time for myself everyday. I’ll play piano, sing, take a bath and listen to music, spend extra time at the gym, read a play, go for a walk and window shop – just a little something that I can look forward to at the end of my day.
I’m generally 3 – 4 steps ahead of myself mentally. I make sure that I stop and ground myself in the moment before I do what it is I set aside for myself to enjoy.
Additionally, I’ve learned to have a lot more patience and kindness with myself especially when things don’t go as planned. There’s a lot of negative energy out there and external forces that try to beat you down and I’m not going to do that to myself. It’s far more helpful to be on your own side.
