My morning routine.
My morning routine is the one part of the day that is truly mine. I set aside at least 2 hours to start my day the way that I want to before the stressors of the modern world take over. These days, stress can manifest in many different forms: commuting in traffic, health issues, running late for work or meetings, road rage, the chaos of the CBD, pollution from cars, work deadlines, financial pressures, relationship pressures. The list goes on. That’s why I make sure to start the day exactly how I want to because this when I am in full control.
My day starts before the sun has risen. It really feels like the rest of the world is asleep and I have it all to myself. It’s an incredible feeling to wake up with nature. In a nutshell, my morning routine involves a dose of: time in nature, light physical activity, and coffee.
First, I go for a swim in the ocean. For me there is no better way to start the day than feeling the sand underneath my feet and diving into the cold ocean. Then I warm up with a hot cup of coffee. Finally, I take my dog for a long walk in the park. By the time I’ve done all of that, I’m physically and mentally primed for a productive day!
Don’t underestimate the importance of a morning routine. It will improve your mood, productivity, efficiency in completing tasks, and your overall health and wellbeing.
Remember, a good day starts with a good morning!
