WHAT HELPS YOU TO BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE?
GET COMFORTABLE BEING UNCOMFORTABLE!
Greatness isn’t forged in the realms of being comfortable. In order to achieve our dreams and be exceptional we need to get comfortable being uncomfortable- put yourself out there, open yourself up to the possibility of failure or rejection, take risks. Make a conscious decision everyday to do something that puts you out of your comfort zone; it will dramatically change your life!
Trends of what’s in vogue concerning exercise will come and go. Research continues to delve deeper into the fields of scientific possibility and the most efficient varieties debated endlessly but the real secret is merely finding something that you love. When you find a form of exercise you enjoy it doesn’t feel like a chore and, ultimately, that makes it sustainable. Taking the time to simply get moving is the best investment you will ever make. Extra points for getting outside and taking in some greenery; it has a profound effect on your wellbeing.
MAKE YOUR BED IN THE MORNING
No doubt this must sound like a random addition, but I urge everyone to make their beds first thing in the morning. It sets a precedence for the day and, in turn, stirs productivity. It may seem a remedial task and one that shouldn’t necessarily rank highly on your list of priorities, but this humble chore gets your day off to a good start and means every day begins with the first task of the day completed.
CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS WISELY
We’ve all heard that we become an average of the people we hang around with the most. It’s true! That’s why it’s so important that you choose your friends wisely- they will literally rub off on you. Surround yourself with successful people who encourage and inspire you; they will bring out the best in you. Steer clear of negative people who don’t have your best interests at heart. Equally; help and motivate others around you, it’s as rewarding to you as it is beneficial to the person you are helping.
VALUE YOUR TIME
A morbid statement but, the only certainty in life is death; this gift of life we have is so fragile and should be revered for the opportunity that it is. The one thing we all have in common on this journey is time- we all have 24 hours in a day, it’s how we choose to spend that time that defines us. Fill your days with people who make you happy doing things that you love. Learn to say no. Quit the job you don’t enjoy. Lessen your commute time. Systemise your workload and fill your day doing whatever it is that you truly get pleasure from; it’s a cliché but YOLO!
