WHAT IS THE ONE THING THAT YOU DO, THAT HELPS YOU BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE?
Getting sober is the number one way I have pushed myself to be the best I can be. Facing adversity can be a great tool to propel you into greatness. I am always striving for self-improvement. No matter how hard life gets, turning to vices can never be an option. Facing life, dealing with the tough stuff is how you will grow and excel. Unfortunately, these things do happen. Mental health and addiction are diseases people struggle with daily. I was one of those people, but I fought for my life and now live a life free of all substances.
On a day-to-day basis, I practice being mindful and having gratitude for everything and everyone around me. These simple actions can truly give you that much needed boost on a hard day. At the end of it all, it is just you and your mind. You must teach your brain how to be better, so you will act / feel / breathe better!
I believe that having a perfect balance between your mind and body is key! Once I got sober, fitness became a huge part of my life. I began to learn the mechanics of the body and why humans need to workout.
I took my passion and turned it into a career. My addiction closed doors but I opened them right back up with pure motivation for wanting something more from my life. I now work as a personal trainer in Toronto, helping people achieve their goals. It is the most rewarding experience I could ever imagine.
Life gets hard. Don’t let the bad times control your future. Make that change in your life that allows you to be the best version of yourself! You will never regret it.
